19th Century Danish Biedermeier Highboy (Semainier) Chest of Drawers

Stunning 19th century burled Biedermeier highboy/semainier chest of drawers with distinctive Biedermeier sculptural pagoda top. Imported from Denmark. Each of the seven graduated height drawers feature bookmatched wood veneer, ebony string inlay, banded edges and a patinaed keyhole escutcheon. Ebony string inlay frames front canted corners. Drawers lockable with working skeleton key. This traditional highboy is in two pieces (chest-on-chest) for ease of transport. Has been professionally restored.
